How to use the above conversion table:

1. Choose the type of pan you are converting from and converting to (round or square/rectangle). Click on the word “Round” and  you will see an “arrow down” icon on the left of the cell box.  The words “round” and “square” will appear.  Click on the one you need. Proceed to the next box and do the same.
2. For round cake pans, enter the diameter and height.
3. For square/rectangle cake pans, enter the height, length and breadth.
4. Scale the recipe by multiplying the quantity of ingredients from the original recipe with the scale factor.
5. Approximate the recipe if necessary by rounding up or down the ingredients so that you have something easier to work with.

If you know a cup of butter weighs 8 ounces, you could do the math yourself:

1 ounce = 28.34 grams, so one cup of butter weighs 227 grams.

1/4 cup of butter = 57 g
1/3 cup of butter = 76 g
1/2 cup of butter = 113 g
1 cup of butter = 227 g
1 tablespoon butter = 14.18g

1 cup (4.5 oz / 125g) dry = 3 cups / 24 oz / 750 ml reconstituted
1 1/3 cups (6 oz / 175g) dry = 1 quart / 1 litre reconstituted
1/3 cup (1.5 oz / 40 g) = 1 cup / 8 oz / 250 ml reconstituted
1 tablespoon dry = .03 oz / 8 g dry
